What is Family Giving?
Family Giving is the Parents of PS9’s Annual Fund Drive which supports the many programs that make PS9 one of the best elementary schools in New York. Our collective support enriches our children’s education, and ensures our kids have the best possible public school experience.
What does the money raised by Family Giving actually fund?
Full-time designated assistant teachers in every classroom! MOST NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS DO NOT HAVE FULL-TIME ASSISTANT TEACHERS IN EVERY CLASSROOM. We are only able to have this amazing program because of the money raised by the Family Giving Fund, and as a result, we enjoy a student to teacher ratio that meets or exceeds that of local independent elementary schools.
